Recording: How to Build a Student-Run Rewards Store

Student voice makes your school's behavior program so much more impactful. That's exactly what Von Tobel did.

By
Elizabeth Holt

Elizabeth Holt took on the ownership of behavior tracking, points, and rewards at Von Tobel, and she built a team of students to help her build it all.

In this webinar, Elizabeth reflects on the legacy and challenges of their previous program and what they realized it would take to rebuild it.

At the center of Von Tobel's program is their student-run school store. Now, after two months of operationalizing the store, Elizabeth knows what works and what doesn't. She walks you through the step-by-step process for building a rewards store, what it takes to make it student-run, and the impact it's already had on their school culture.

The team at Von Tobel Middle School in Las Vegas's Clark Country School District set out to rebuild their behavior program in 2022. It just didn't have the buy-in or leadership it needed to be successful. Their new strategy didn't just involve retraining staff, it included recruiting students to run the program's reward system – the school store. Here's how they did it.
